Same issue! I replaced all connected HDMI cables with certified HDMI 2.1 cables from Oehlbach - same issue, but only on AppleTV. I have replaced my Gen2 AppleTV from 2021 with the Gen3 AppleTV from 2022. However, to rule out that my AV Receiver (Denon AVC-X4700H) is not the source of the issue, I used my UHD Player (DP-UB9004) to play the same YouTube video - again, no white spots on the screen, all perfectly black (as it should be). I have played the same YouTube video from the YouTube App that is available from the Sony TV directly - no white spots. See picture below to understand how it looks like in an entirely dark room when playing any of the "black screen" videos from YouTube. However, I have done extensive testing to rule out all other hardware components as being the source of the issue. I am not sure if this issue was from the very beginning, because it is not easy to notice at first when watching regular content. ![]() When playing a YouTube video that displays a black screen, I can see static white noise / spots on my Sony Bravia XR-77A80K (OLED from 2022).
